Beginners quilting: make a tablemat/sewing machine mat
Learn your basic quilting skills during this three hour workshop. you will learn how to assemble your placemats and learn two basic styles of quilting: linear and crosshatch. You will make two coasters to start with to decide which style you want to use for your placemats. As well as learning basic quilting skills, you will also learn how to apply bias binding around the edges.
The class fee covers the materials for the two coasters, but NOT for the placemats. You are welcome to source these items yourself, but there is a kit available in the Christmassy fabric shown which consists of fabric and backing, bias binding and wadding which is enough to make four tablemats, the kit costs £15.00.
