Workshop: Crochet a Star blanket
Come and learn this shaped crochet which can be made in various weight yarns for different effects! Make it in baby yarn for a lovely unusual baby blanket, superchunky for a funky rug or go with aran weight Christmas colours for a lovely Christmas tree mat! What tree wouldn’t look better with a gorgeous hand crocheted mat under it? This project is suitable for all levels (except complete beginners). You will need to be able to create foundation chains and treble stitch.
You will learn increasing and decreasing techniques and how to join the different coloured yarns for each row. The increasing and decreasing techniques will create a beautiful star shape.
This two hour workshop will ensure that you have all the skills required to finish this at home. Each step will be shown by the tutor several times. Fully illustrated instructions will be provided to take away.
